Summary

We are searching for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our growing team as an Office Clerk (remote-friendly). In this versatile role, you'll provide essential administrative support across various departments, contributing to the smooth functioning of the organization. You'll handle a range of tasks, including data entry, managing schedules, filing documents, and assisting with communication needs.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in computer literacy and a desire to learn. The ideal candidate will be a meticulous individual with excellent organizational and time management skills. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to assigned departments or teams.
  • Manage calendars and schedules for designated personnel, ensuring timely appointments and meetings.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and filing systems (both physical and digital).
  • Process and manage documents, including invoices, receipts, and other paperwork.
  • Handle data entry tasks and maintain databases with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Answer phones, screen calls, and direct inquiries to appropriate personnel.
  • Draft and compose basic correspondence, emails, and reports as instructed.
  • Arrange travel and accommodation for staff as needed (if applicable).
  • Manage office supplies and equipment, ensuring timely restocking and efficient use.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative or clerical role (an internship may be considered).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent typing skills with a minimum speed of 30 WPM.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.
  • Remote work readiness with strong time management and communication skills.

Experience:

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative or clerical role. However, we are also open to considering recent graduates with a strong academic background and a demonstrable interest in the steel industry.
