Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our growing team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations by analyzing costs, preparing reports, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze cost data, identify cost variances, and recommend corrective actions to improve cost efficiency
Prepare detailed cost reports, budgets, and forecasts to support financial planning and analysis
Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures
Conduct variance analysis to investigate cost fluctuations and identify areas for cost optimization
Monitor and control operational expenses to ensure adherence to budgets
Participate in the development and implementation of cost-saving initiatives
Provide cost-related information and analysis to support management decision-making
Reconcile cost accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial records
Stay up-to-date on accounting standards and best practices

Required Skills and Qualifications

Chartered Accountant (CA) or CMA qualification (required)
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field (preferred)
Minimum 2 years of experience in cost accounting or a related financial role
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools (Excel)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines

Experience
